Dee Lanning

Dance teacher and Choreographer

Dee has 19 years of experience dancing a range of partner dances and 17 years teaching Modern Jive.

Alongside teaching Modern Jive and Solo Charleston on a weekly basis, Dee also teaches workshops in Vintage Burlesque, Blues, Smooth Jive, Connection and Musicality, Doubles (dancing with more than one partner), Aerials and Ladies Styling.

Dee has also performed, competed and even graced the silver screen as part of 3 Hollywood movies!

Here is what one of her students has to say "Dee is a gifted dancer, calm and confident with a warm and humorous teaching style. She put people at ease immediately as she is very approachable. She is aware that people have all sorts of hang-ups about their dance ability and confidence, and works well at building their confidence at their own pace"

Dee is a qualified instructor and member of the UKA Dance awarding body (validated by Council for Dance Education & Training).

Course Demo & Crew

We always have crew on hand to help out at all courses and events. Most are not teachers but have been hand picked as 'helpers' for their dance ability and their approachability! Their role at any event is to welcome you, help you feel at ease and direct you to the right person with any of your questions!

Client Recomendations

"What can I say? Dee taught me to dance 10 years ago and started me on my dance journey.  She put up with my mistakes and my constant questions and gave me the confidence to get up and boogie.  The girl is a class act, get down to her class, you'll never look back."

Roy Ferguson

I cannot recommend Dee as a teacher highly enough - her teaching style and routines are first class, she is a very friendly, bubbly and fun person, and her enthusiasm for dancing is palpable.

Dee delivers the routines in an instructive and easy to follow manner. If you are new to dancing (I was), and fancy a challenge, or if you want to have some fun and keep fit,  all I can say is 'go for it', I am so glad I did!
