Sun 26 May 'Playing with Speed' Workshop

Some of you will know the fabulous Antony Kitchener from our 'Highs and Low's' workshop earlier this year... others will know him from MJ Roc Warmwell Weekenders.... Well, this much sought after teacher will be joining forces with me (Dee Lanning) onstage once again to bring you your May Workshop! During the two-hour session, we'll delve into the art of adjusting our dance movements to different tempos of music, mastering the art of slowing down and accelerating moves for a more dynamic experience. Our focus, as always, will be on refining technique for both leaders and followers. Expanding upon our previous workshop (although you can attend this one even if you didnt attend that one!) and using a similar format we will spend the first half looking at body position, frame, arm/leg placeent and how that affects our ability to speed up and slow down. We will then spend the second half building up a new routine and learning how to adapt it to the music. This is not a musicality workshop but we will touch on elements contextually! Suitable for intermediate level dancers Details: Sunday 26th May 12-2pm (Please arrive by 11:45am with shoes on and ready to warm up at 11:50) Salwayash Village Hall DT6 5HX £20 per person (& includes Tea Dance after the workshop) Stick around after the workshop as we will have a Special Teacher Spotlight for you during the Tea Dance too! There will be limited spaces due to the nature of the workshop.

Cancellation Policy

Places are only secured once full payment has been made. No refunds will be offered unless a class or event is cancelled by Dynamic Dance. Sadly we cannot offer a refund or credit note if you choose not to attend your pre-booked class. However if you contact Dee on 07740349393 more than 48 hours before the class we may be able to help you to resell your ticket and book you onto a future class. This is not guarenteed and we will look at each request on a case by case basis. NB: that if we change the date of the event and you are unable to make the new date, you will be offered a refund or credit note towards a future class. COVID Cancellations: In the event that you need to cancel your booking due to having COVID or COVID like symptoms, you will be offered a place on the next available class after your self-isolating period.
